Position Summary
Southeast 4-H Educational Center, also known as Airfield 4-H Center, is seeking a self-motivated, energetic, outcome-oriented individual to serve as the Events Director. Interested individuals will play a key role in advancing the mission of the Southeast 4-H Educational Center, a small nonprofit outdoor educational and conferencing center dedicated to fostering and encouraging the positive development of youth and adults in cooperation with the Virginia Cooperative Extension of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and Virginia State that teaches, trains, and provides such learning opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Scheduling, Reservations & Contracts, calendar update, marketing, public relations, set up and clean up. Includes working weekends and evenings, and using creativity. Compensation and Benefits
- Starting Wage: $21/hour.

Work Environment
This position offers a collaborative work environment typical of a small nonprofit organization. Some evening and weekend hours WILL BE required for events or community engagement. Typical working hours in the office are 8:30AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday. Total hours in a workweek equal 40. Explanations of variations in the work week will be required (split shift, evenings, weekends, etc.).
Local travel will be required; work may occasionally require more than 8 hours per day.
Job Licensure/Registration/Certification Requirements
Valid Driver’s License
First Aid|CPR|AED (will be provided if not current)
