Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
1. Performs nursing procedures under the supervision the medical providers.
2. Escorts patients to exam rooms. Takes patient’s social and medical history, applying motivational interview techniques. Measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature. Document all information in patients chart on the EMR.
3. Ensures all related reports, labs and information is filed and available in patient’s medical record prior to their appointments.
4. Performs EKGs, Hemocult (done in room), Dipstick, change dressings. Removes staples and/or stitches. Assist providers preparing for Joint Injections/Joint Tray.
5. Assists medical providers in exam rooms. Serves as a room chaperone. Provides patient education and instructions as directed by providers.
6. Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patients, physicians and pharmacy calls. Triage and process messages from patient and front office staff to providers.
7. Schedules patient appointments and diagnostic procedures such as CT scans and MRI’s as needed
8. Keep exam rooms sanitized and stocked with adequate medical supplies; maintain instruments.
9. Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e., refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, etc.).
10. Administered Covid-19 injections.
11. All other duties as assigned by the COO or provider.
