premisesthe We are seeking highly motivated individuals to become an integral part of our team as an Event Security Officer. This is a short-term assignment expected to continue through the July 4th holiday period, with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent position based on performance, attendance, client needs, and available openings.
The selected individual will patrol assigned premises by foot and/or vehicle, identify risks to staff and patrons, and perform other related duties as assigned. This position will work at various locations, including municipal and county government facilities and special events.
Responsibilities
Duties may vary according to assigned post and may include:
- Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules and regulations.
- Conduct foot and vehicle patrols of assigned properties.
- Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security.
- Warn violators of premise rules and regulations.
- Apprehend or expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal activity in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.
- Report facility issues such as fire hazards, water leaks, or other safety concerns.
- Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations.
- Work professionally with government personnel, clients, staff, and the public.
- Complete required reports and documentation.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Military personnel and Veterans are encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with security equipment, procedures, and applicable laws.
- Ability to handle physical demands and flexible work schedules.
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with computers and software applications, including Microsoft Office and Adobe products.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment and random drug screening.
- Must be able to pass a background security check.
- Security training and certifications preferred; training and certification opportunities may be available for qualified candidates.
- For armed positions (Officer II), applicants must own and qualify with approved firearms of authorized calibers and firearm types.
- Must be able to travel throughout the metro area to assigned posts.
