Accentuate Staffing has partnered with an innovative advanced manufacturing organization that is expanding its U.S. operations with a new, highly automated production facility in Oxford, NC. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Industrial Engineer to play a key role in launching manufacturing operations, establishing production processes, and helping build a high-performing operation from the ground up. The position offers the chance to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where continuous improvement and operational excellence are core priorities.
The ideal candidate will bring experience in industrial, process, or test engineering within a manufacturing environment and enjoy working in hands-on, project-driven settings. This role will focus on transferring and implementing production processes, supporting equipment installation and commissioning, driving process improvements through data and KPI analysis, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. Initial international travel for training will be required before supporting long-term operations at the U.S. facility.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation, launch, and stabilization of manufacturing and test processes, supporting production ramp-up from pilot builds through full-scale production.
- Coordinate equipment selection, procurement, installation, commissioning, and supplier management while tracking project costs, timelines, and capital investments.
- Analyze manufacturing performance using production metrics, cycle times, capacity planning, and operational KPIs to improve efficiency, productivity, and overall equipment performance.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, testing procedures, maintenance plans, and process documentation while supporting quality initiatives and customer audits.
- Partner with engineering, operations, quality, suppliers, and production teams to introduce new products, resolve manufacturing challenges, and implement continuous process improvements.
- Train production personnel and technical staff on manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and standardized work procedures to ensure consistent production performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Production Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Several years of experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing process engineering, or test engineering with demonstrated success supporting production launches and process improvements.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing process development, capacity planning, cycle time analysis, FMEA, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience working with manufacturing systems and business software, including Microsoft Office; familiarity with MES and ERP systems is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
- Hands-on, self-motivated professional willing to travel internationally for initial training and contribute within a fast-paced, growth-oriented manufacturing environment.
