The Production Associate is responsible for completing the daily assembly activities of TCP according to product specifications. This role assists in achieving department goals and objectives. This position working from product samples, wire diagrams, or printed instructions, uses hand and power tools to complete assembly of wide variety of sub-assemblies and/or final products.

Keep work area clean and safe. Assure trash is removed from work area in a timely manner and is properly disposed. All unused material is properly returned to stock. Conform to departmental 5S guidelines.

Perform additional tasks as assigned by assembly supervisor.

Verify products meet or exceed stated requirements related to workmanship, engineering change orders, production material notices, evaluations samples and test criteria.

Perform or inspect component replacement and rework on units, sub-assemblies and overhaul/exchange assemblies as required.

Mechanical assembly using excellent manual dexterity, depth perception and attention to detail.

Comply with safety guidelines, policies and procedure including proper PPE.

Follow all departmental Standard Operating Procedures and guidelines.

May be asked to assist supervisor in coordinating activities of production workers engaged in various processes, utilizing knowledge of equipment, procedures and specifications.

May be asked to lead and direct the work of other production associates.
- Actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures, and uses equipment and materials properly.

Other responsibilities or projects assigned by manager.
- Minimum of 12 months in warehouse related experience. Assembly experience is a plus.
- Exercise certain degree of independent judgment based on experience to plan and accomplish goals.
- Excellent manual dexterity and ability to use hands and basic hand tools.

Must be able to distinguish between red, blue, yellow, green and orange electrical wiring.
- Work in a fast paced environment, standing, and/or walking 8-10 hours a day working manual and electronic equipment

Ability to lift up to 70 pounds on a regular basis as required.

Perform or inspect component replacement and rework on units, sub-assemblies and overhaul/exchange assemblies as required.

- The ability to work in a warehouse setting with temperature fluctuation from hot to cold throughout the year.

Education/Training
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Fork lift experience is a plus.
Physical/Environmental
- Job responsibilities are generally performed in warehouse business environment.
- Position frequently requires lifting, bending, stooping, or operating of heavy equipment. Frequent grasping, pushing, pulling and lifting of pallets and product from floor to waist and shoulder heights.

Position requires frequent talking, hearing, and vision with majority of the day standing, walking and reaching.
- Continuous lifting between 10 and 15 lbs, frequent lifting up to 75 lbs, occasional lifting up to 125 lbs, and assisted lifting in excess of 125 lbs. Use of industrial equipment including Power Industrial Equipment, carts and other equipment as needed.
