Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the needs of our ambulatory surgery center.
- Perform various nursing procedures, including preoperative care, postoperative care, circulating procedures, specimen collection, and infection control.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatments, postoperative care, etc.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice
Skills:
- Strong clinical skills in areas of preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and safe administration of medications
- Knowledge of infection control practices to prevent the spread of diseases
- Physical stamina for a fast paced environment.
-Endoscopy experience preferred.
