MCi is hiring a full-time Entry-Level Electrical Designer for the east El Paso office. In this role, you’ll help create and support designs for electrical power lines. This is an excellent opportunity for someone highly motivated or beginning their career in the electrical or engineering technology field.
What You'll Do:
- Assist with calculations and design tasks for electrical power line projects.
- Prepare engineering design documents and support project implementation in the field.
- Help ensure assigned projects meet engineering requirements and field expectations.
- Support the team with field work as needed for assigned projects.
- Coordinate the construction of line extensions with various entities.
- Perform other related tasks within the scope of the role.
What You Bring:
· Education:
- Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Geography, Business Administration, Mathematics, Physics, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Geography, Organizational Leadership, Public Administration, Technical Communication
- Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology or related field,
- Two (2) years of coarse work from an accredited college or technical school in Engineering Technology or a related field,
- High School Diploma and some coarse work from an accredited college or technical school in Engineering Technology or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate with or without reasonable accommodation that the essential functions of the job can be performed.
- A strong desire to work in the electrical engineering consulting field.
- Basic knowledge of Excel, Word, and of the principles of electricity.
- Basic knowledge of the National Electrical Safety Code, National Electrical Code (preferred but not required).
- Basic knowledge of computer aided drafting techniques, knowledge of AutoCAD, and knowledge in general electrical engineering software (preferred but not required).
- Knowledge of fundamentals of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, electrical engineering design and techniques, electrical construction methods and specifications, project estimating and scheduling, and applicable standards (preferred but not required).
- Willingness to adapt to changing tasks
- Ability to learn quickly.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
