We are looking for a friendly, service-minded and reliable individual to join our team of baristas! At Little Ox Coffee, our goal is to deliver exceptional hospitality and create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that serves quality coffee and make guests feel genuinely cared for.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional hospitality to our guests and create a warm, welcoming atmosphere
- Prepare and serve coffee and beverages efficiently with precision, consistency, and quality
- Master espresso preparation, milk steaming, and pourovers
- Be knowledgeable about current coffee/beverage offerings and accurately communicate information to guests
- Operate the point-of-sale system and handle payment transactions
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including during peak rush hours
- Collaborate closely with colleagues to foster a culture of teamwork and ensure workflow efficiency
- Prepare ingredients and recipes as needed
- Comply with all food safety and health guidelines
Qualifications
- Passion for hospitality and specialty coffee
- 1 year minimum specialty coffee experience preferred and 2 years customer service experience required
- Friendly and excellent interpersonal skills with ability to deliver warm, personable service to guests
- Works efficiently and can remain calm (while still having fun!) in a high-volume, fast-paced cafe
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong work ethic and high integrity with a great attendance record
- Ability to work weekends (both Saturday and Sunday) and holidays
- Ability to work 4 shifts per week
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours) and reach, bend, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
