Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Field Installation Manager specializing in Commercial Doors to lead and oversee the installation, coordination, and management of commercial door projects on-site. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive project success through effective team leadership, meticulous planning, and adherence to safety standards. As a key player in our construction management team, you will ensure that all installations are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards, fostering strong client relationships and delivering exceptional results.
Duties
- 6-month training period working closely with leadership.
- Lead and manage on-site installation teams, supervising crew members to ensure timely and accurate commercial door installations.
- Coordinate project schedules using construction management software such as Primavera P6 and HeavyBid to optimize workflow and resource allocation.
- Review construction drawings, schematics, blueprints, and technical specifications to ensure precise understanding of project requirements.
- Oversee site safety compliance by enforcing OSHA regulations and federal construction safety standards throughout all phases of installation.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to interpret technical drawings and schematics for seamless execution.
- Conduct quality control inspections to verify that installations meet design specifications, safety protocols, and industry standards.
- Manage project documentation including contracts, change orders, daily reports, and safety records while maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing construction site operations with a focus on commercial door or similar heavy industrial installations.
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and interpret construction plans accurately.
- Extensive experience supervising teams in a construction management role with excellent crew management skills.
- Familiarity with construction scheduling techniques and project scheduling tools to coordinate multiple phases effectively.
- Deep understanding of construction regulations including OSHA standards and federal safety regulations related to heavy construction projects.
- Strong managerial communication skills for managing client expectations, coordinating teams, and supervising subcontractors.
