Overview
We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and be able to work efficiently to deliver high-quality dishes.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and chopping
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Monitor food stock and place orders when there are shortages
Skills
- Experience in a professional kitchen environment
- Knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards
- Menu planning skills
- Proficiency with knives and kitchen equipment
- Culinary creativity and passion for cooking
- Ability to work well in a team setting
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Previous experience in the food industry is a plus
