Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic MRI Technologist to join our imaging team on a Part Time basis . In this vital role, you will operate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment to produce detailed images of patients’ internal structures, supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Your expertise will help ensure high-quality imaging services are delivered efficiently, safely, and compassionately. Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for MRI procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the scan
- Operate MRI equipment to acquire high-resolution images of various anatomical regions, adhering to established protocols and safety standards
- Assist with specialized imaging procedures such as CT scans, DEXA scans (for bone density assessment), sonography, and other diagnostic evaluations as needed
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure patient safety during all procedures
- Review images for quality assurance and collaborate with radiologists or physicians to ensure diagnostic accuracy
- Monitor patients during scans for any adverse reactions or discomfort, responding promptly to their needs
- Document all procedures accurately in patient records and maintain detailed logs of imaging activities
Requirements
- Proven experience operating MRI equipment with a strong understanding of medical imaging principles
- Knowledge of CT imaging, DEXA scans, sonography, and general medical terminology
- Solid understanding of anatomy and physiology relevant to diagnostic evaluation
- Ability to apply aseptic techniques diligently to maintain a sterile environment
- Familiarity with medical terminology and diagnostic evaluation processes for accurate image interpretation
- Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and the principles behind medical imaging modalities such as MRI and CT
- Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly and provide compassionate patient care
- Certification or licensure as an MRI Technologist in accordance with state or national requirements is preferred

Pay: $50.00 - $52.00 per hour
