Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient information in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for treatment, and managing dental equipment.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Operate dental equipment including 3D scanners and sterilization tools.
- Support pediatric dentistry by creating a welcoming environment for young patients.
- Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including acting as a dental receptionist.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic to promote a safe working environment.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental health is an asset.
- Experience with managing medical records and understanding patient confidentiality is essential.
- Proficiency in using dental technology such as 3D scanners will be considered an advantage.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
