Job Description
As a Server at Mána Greek, you are the face of our guest experience. You will do more than just take orders—you will guide guests through our menu of traditional Greek specialties, recommend perfect wine pairings, and deliver the warm, attentive hospitality we are known for.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Engagement: Welcome guests warmly, introduce daily specials, and guide them through our authentic food and beverage menus with confidence and enthusiasm.
- Service Execution: Accurately take food and drink orders, input them efficiently into our Toast POS system, and ensure timely delivery of courses.
- Tableside Care: Monitor and anticipate guest needs—refilling drinks, clearing plates promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction throughout the meal.
- Teamwork: Collaborate closely with bartenders, food runners, and back-of-house staff to ensure smooth, synchronized service across the dining room.
- Financial Accuracy: Process payments accurately, handle cash and credit card transactions, and manage tip-outs smoothly.
- Side Work: Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked service station. Assist with opening and closing duties as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 1–2 years of casual dining or upscale server experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage pairings (familiarity with Greek cuisine and wine distribution is a major plus!).
- Experience operating restaurant digital platforms, specifically Toast POS, is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
- Must hold or be willing to obtain required local food handler and alcohol service certifications (BASSET).
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays .
