CC Young, a vibrant senior living community and a non-profit leader in senior living and Health Care as immediate opening for a high-energy Certified Nurse Aide for our Hospice In Patient Unit to assist with basic daily needs and provide compassionate support for critically ill patients and their families.
Schedule: Overnight- 6:00pm- 6:00am. Rotation 4-on/4-off, 3-on/3-off including weekends.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assist patients with basic daily needs such as feeding, toileting, showering, and grooming.
- Working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team provides emotional support to patients and their families dealing with end-of-life issues.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient records/charts.
- Responds to emergent situations, providing immediate care to patients and their families.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications include:
- Must possess a valid Texas Certified Nurse Aide Certification in good standing.
- Must possess a minimum of 2+ years recent experience as a CNA
- Must possess a minimum of 1+ year recent experience working in a fast-paced hospice environment.
- Must possess current CPR certification and First Aide Training.
- Excellent verbal, written, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Proven computer skills for performing extensive patient documentation and charting.
