Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic ResHab Program Assistant to join our team in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and other behavioral health needs. In this vital role, you will assist with daily living activities, provide behavioral support, and foster independence within community and home settings. Duties
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and other disabilities in their daily routines and activities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
- Facilitate communication using techniques such as American Sign Language or other augmentative communication methods when applicable
- Collect data on client progress, behavior patterns, and service outcomes for documentation and reporting purposes
- Provide transportation support by safely driving clients to appointments, community activities, or home visits
- Assist with medication administration following prescribed protocols and safety guidelines
- Support clients with home & community care needs, including childcare responsibilities when necessary
- Assist with an after-hours On-Call Rotation providing emergency support
Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or behavioral health conditions preferred
- Knowledge of special education principles and behavior management techniques
- Ability to communicate effectively using verbal skills or alternative methods such as American Sign Language
- Prior experience in caregiving, direct support roles, or home & community care settings is highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with clients and team members
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record for transportation duties
- Ability to assist with ADLs and provide compassionate caregiving support
- Experience with data collection, social work practices, or medication administration is a plus

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Residential Habilitation: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- CPR/First-Aid Certification (Preferred)
