MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Five (5) years of teaching experience

Holds valid Georgia Certification at T-5 level or higher

Demonstrates exceptional written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills necessary to relate well with educators, parents and students

Exhibits a professional attitude and demeanor at all times dealing with fellow employees, parents, students, and community

Exhibits time on task and flexible, cooperative, progressive and hardworking attitude

Possesses leadership experience at the school/system level

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

Serves as case manager for students receiving Tier 2 and Tier 3 supports by facilitating all MTSS meetings
-
Communicates with key stakeholders and works with MTSS school-based teams, Tier 2 Team, and Tier 3 Team to implement the MTSS framework, which includes academic and behavioral supports

Trains and supports colleagues on MTSS implementation

Compiles, analyzes and utilizes student data (universal screening, progress monitoring, formative and summative assessments)

Implements and sustains a comprehensive MTSS framework in accordance with the implementation rubric
-
Supports teachers in identifying student needs and selecting appropriate interventions
-
Monitors the effectiveness of student interventions and provides support with progress monitoring
-
Prepares all required reports and maintains all appropriate records related to areas of responsibility
-
Models and facilitates the evaluation of the types of responses to instruction/intervention for large groups, small groups, and individual students
-
Provides technical assistance to administrators, teachers and school-based leadership teams to facilitate implementation of a Multi-Tiered System of Supports at the school level. This includes the development of professional learning communities that integrate standards-based instruction. Technical assistance activities include observation and feedback, modeling and other supportive assistance necessary to implement a Multi-Tiered System of Supports
