Job Title: Outside Sales Representative
Department: Outside Sales
Reports to: Branch Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
The Outside Sales Representative solicits parts and services business from accounts through personal and phone contacts. The representative will present a professional image with a high level of customer service focus. To be successful it’s essential to focus on development of new accounts, recover lost accounts, and manage established accounts.
Responsibilities

Promote and sell Tidewater Fleet Supply/TNT Parts Inc. Technology products including Webshop.

Prospect for new accounts/referrals which include compiling and updating a list of prospective clients to provide leads for additional business.

Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive account specific growth strategies.

Service existing accounts and communicate with clients on a regular basis. Discuss use and features of various parts.

Manage Accounts in the CRM system.

Update account profiles in CRM annually for contact info and sales potential.

Pre Call Plan each Sales call using CRM “Sales IQ” guided action.

Follow up on orders to ensure that customers are served promptly.

Coordinate parts and with the appropriate personnel. Advise counter person on delivery instructions.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Appropriate manufacturer training.

Three years’ sales experience, including new account development, prospecting, and cold calling; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Expertise in the heavy duty or automotive aftermarket is highly valued, along with a positive attitude and a passion for customer service.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred.

A minimum of 3 years sales experience, including new account development, prospecting, and cold calling; or the equivalent of education and experience.
