Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Chef/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Assist with menu planning and daily meal preparation to ensure timely service
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, slicers, and other culinary tools
- Maintain cleanliness by cleaning workstations, utensils, and kitchen appliances regularly
- Follow food safety protocols and handle food properly to prevent contamination
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal production and service
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while adhering to quality standards
Requirements
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is preferred but not required
- Strong food preparation skills with knowledge of cooking techniques and recipe adherence
- Experience in food handling, safety standards, and sanitation practices within the food industry
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Excellent knife skills, slicing techniques, and attention to detail in meal presentation
- Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Good communication skills for effective teamwork in a busy kitchen environment

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
