Your Key Qualifications:
- Active Connecticut OT license or COTA licensure/certification (CT DPH License, NBCOT Exam passed)
- School-based experience is preferred
- Reliable transportation to travel between sites and campuses
- Track record of working with students with diverse abilities and needs
- Comfortable with flexible assignments and committed to a temporary maternity leave coverage (potential extension, but not guaranteed)
- Experience supporting a broad age range is highly valued
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students district-wide, supporting their growth and school participation
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize student support plans
- Implement and adapt individualized treatment approaches based on IEPs and student needs
- Document student progress efficiently and communicate updates to teams
- For COTA applicants: Work under the supervision of a licensed OT according to state guidelines
- Engage with students from preschoolers to high-school seniors, fostering independence and functional skills
- Adjust to a flexible, approximately 7–7.5 hour day (final schedule to be confirmed)
