As a Heavy Equipment Operator for our Bison Power Generation Plant in Ray, North Dakota you will contribute to our team by:
The roles and responsibilities of an Equipment Operator may include but are not limited to the following items:
- Ability to run following equipment: Dump Truck, Excavator, Dozer, Skid steer
- Working knowledge of and experience working with rigging and lifting systems.
- Perform quality work as determined by the project specifications.
- Document maintenance logs on assigned equipment.
- Operate gasoline, diesel, pneumatic, or electrically powered equipment to move objects or material according to project specifications.
- Perform maintenance duties such as cleaning, greasing, and oiling machines and equipment.
- Must understand manufacturer’s specifications and limitations applicable to the operation of the assigned heavy equipment, such as load capacities, operating speeds, and specific hazard warnings and instructions.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment to maintain in an operable and reliable state of readiness.
- Scoop, lift, swing, or dump material.
- Dig, spread, and level dirt and gravel.
- Assist in checking that areas are barricaded, and travel paths are clear and marked.
- Load and unload trucks and/or rail cars.
- Prioritize tasks according to job schedule and direction.
Must pass all pre-employment drug and alcohol test
Must have minimal of 4 years' experience
Must have Industrial construction experience
Must have OSHA10, OSHA 30 or Safety Essentials
