American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring an active MT or compact RN license and at least 1 year of ED experience.

>Hospital-based Emergency Department setting
-
13-week contract assignment
-
Variable 12-hour mid shifts, either 1p-1a or 3p-3a
-
3 shifts per week totaling 36 hours weekly
-
May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business need
-
May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
-
Uses Epic charting system
-
Active RN license (Standard or Compact) in Montana required, must be active and not pending upon consideration
-
Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required and must not expire prior to start

ACLS, NRP, or PALS certification required as appropriate for unit or service, must be AHA-issued and not expire prior to start
-
Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience required

ASN required, BSN preferred
-
Epic EMR charting experience required
-
DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care while performing health teaching and counseling
-
Provide supportive and restorative therapy and treatment directly to patients or through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching of others

Refer patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment
-
Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans
-
Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
-
Promote the mission, vision, and values of the health system and abide by service behavior standards
-
Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before becoming eligible for this travel assignment
