Position Title: Contractor Sales
Department: Contractor Sales Department
Description: As a Contractor Sales team member at sixteen5hundred, you will create and maintain solid, long-term business relationships with customers on behalf of sixteen5hundred.
In this role, you will be responsible for reaching sales and gross margin goals, which includes prospecting and soliciting orders, identifying customer needs, and proposing solutions and appropriate products and services to meet those needs.
Primary Duties:
- Manage assigned accounts in sixteen5hundred CRM tool. Develop a sustainable sales/profit volume in assigned accounts.
- Regularly make in-person sales calls to prospective customers and current customer establishments.
- Introduce and demonstrate new products and services.
- Assist customers with recommended bills of material.
- Utilize a solutions sales approach that centers on addressing specific customer problems with a customized product or service. Emphasize the value of the solution over features. Suggest alternative products when a customer-requested product is not available.
- Cultivate and maintain solid, relationships - with contractors, distributors, and manufacturer partners.
- Assist and resolve customer requests and/or problems in a prompt and professional manner.
- Communicate competitive conditions and customer feedback to management.
- Cooperate with suppliers to secure mutual business through joint sales calls.
- Execute sales efforts in an ethical and professional manner that will reflect favorably on the reputation of both the salesperson and the company.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Quotes and Solutions Team to generate a bill of materials that aligns to the customer expectations
- Generate competitive crossovers and verify their accuracy.
- Ensure that quotations are delivered on time and meet customer’s deadlines.
- Answer questions for customers regarding product lines, bill of materials, pricing, control integration, code requirements, and best practices for managing complex projects.

Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or higher preferred from a four-year college university or two to three years related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe/BlueBeam, Microsoft Teams, Google Sheets/docs, aptitude for Quotation Platforms.
· Must be able to speak and write professionally. Communication skills with customers, design clients and co-workers are a necessity.
· Team oriented with a strong ability to successfully collaborate with peers.
Strong ability to maintain high-level focus while multi-tasking in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts basic algebra and geometry.

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
