**Job Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced general dentistry clinic on Mondays through Thursday and a half day on Friday. As a key member of our health care team, the successful candidate will play a vital role in providing top-notch customer service and contributing to the overall success of the practice. **Duties**
Your duties would include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
- Taking dental radiographs (x-rays when licensed to do so)
- Asking about the patient's medical history and taking blood pressure and pulse
- Serving as an infection control officer, developing infection control protocol and preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
- Helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment
- Providing patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling) teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health;
- Taking impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth)
- Intra-oral scanning using Itero and Trios
- Performing office management tasks that often require the use of a personal computer
- Communicating with patients and suppliers (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, billing and ordering supplies)
- Helping to provide direct patient care in all dental specialties, including orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics, endodontics and oral surgery
**Experience***
Must hold current Dental Assisting license, CPR certification, and Radiology certification. Prior experience with Eaglesoft, Zoom, Itero and Trios is highly desirable.
