PROFESSIONAL PET GROOMER (Experienced)
Petbar Boutique Katy is a premium pet grooming and spa business located in Cinco Ranch, Katy, Texas. We are seeking an experienced professional pet groomer to join our growing team.
This is NOT an entry-level position. Applicants must have professional grooming experience and be able to perform complete breed-specific and client-requested grooms independently. Weekend availability (Saturday and Sunday) is required.
Schedule:
- Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- Additional days may be available
- Business Hours:
- Monday–Saturday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Sunday: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform full-service boutique grooming for dogs of all breeds and coat types
- Bathe, dry, brush, de-shed, and de-mat pets as needed
- Trim and style coats using clippers, scissors, and other professional grooming tools
- Perform breed-standard and client-requested trims
- Trim nails and paw pads, perform sanitary trims, brush teeth, and complete all finish work
- Safely handle pets throughout the grooming process
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area
- Communicate professionally with clients and team members
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of professional pet grooming experience
- Strong breed knowledge and safe animal-handling skills
- Expert understanding of the complete grooming process
- Excellent finishing skills with a strong emphasis on hand scissoring
- Applicants must be comfortable performing hand-scissored breed trims and producing consistent, high-quality finish work without supervision
- Ability to follow client-specific instructions and grooming requests
- Ability to groom approximately 5–10 dogs per day
- Current grooming portfolio required
- Reliable transportation required
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- Passion for animals and exceptional customer service
Preferred:
- Established portfolio demonstrating a variety of breed cuts and styling techniques
