Freight Coordinator.
1st Shift (7a-3p)
$18-20/hr., depending on experience
Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement and manage transportation strategies, policies, and procedures
- Manage daily transportation operations, including route planning, carrier selection, and freight consolidation
- Ensure all shipments are compliant with local, state, and federal regulations
- Coordinate with carriers and logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Monitor shipment progress and communicate any issues or delays to internal teams and customers
- Analyze transportation data and performance metrics to identify areas for
improvement and cost savings
- Work closely with internal teams, including sales, purchasing, and production, to ensure seamless coordination of logistics
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and logistics providers
Requirements:
• 3+ years of experience in transportation and logistics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and transportation management software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Ability to read, write and perform basic math
- High School Diploma or GED required
