Responsibilities
- Measure and record pediatric vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiratory rate, and growth measurements appropriate for age
- Assist pediatric providers during examinations and in-office procedures while ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare pediatric patients and their caregivers for appointments by explaining procedures in an age-appropriate, reassuring manner
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records in the EHR, including documentation and coding information for billing purposes
- Administer medications and immunizations as directed by providers and monitor patients for reactions or adverse responses
- Perform basic laboratory testing and assist with minor in-office procedures per pediatric clinic protocols
- Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, preventive care, medications, and follow-up instructions
- Ensure compliance with clinic policies, infection control standards, and state and federal health regulations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly clinical environment
- Collaborate with pediatric providers, nurses, and support staff to promote efficient clinic flow and high-quality patient care
Experience
- Prior experience in a pediatric clinic or family medicine setting preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of pediatric medical terminology, growth and development, immunization schedules, and common childhood illnesses
- Experience with EHR systems and pediatric documentation workflows
- Comfort working with infants, children, adolescents, and their caregivers in a fast-paced environment
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Strong communication skills with both children and parents/guardians
- Ability to adapt quickly to different pediatric care settings while maintaining high standards of safety, empathy, and professionalism

Pay: $17.25 - $18.00 per hour
