Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for patients of all ages, including early intervention and school-aged populations
- Develop and implement individualized speech-language therapy plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs and goals
- Provide direct therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques for speech therapy, language therapy, and swallowing disorders
- Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive patient care and support
- Utilize EMR/EHR systems to document assessments, treatment progress, and patient outcomes accurately and efficiently
- Educate patients and their families on strategies to improve communication skills and facilitate carryover of therapy techniques at home or school
- Stay current with advancements in physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and best practices in speech-language pathology to enhance service quality
Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program; current licensure or certification required
- Proven experience working with children in pediatric settings such as schools or early intervention programs is highly preferred
- Experience working with individuals with speech impairments, disabilities, or neurological conditions across diverse age groups including geriatrics
- Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive speech and language assessments and develop effective treatment plans
- Familiarity with telehealth therapy platforms and experience delivering services remotely is advantageous
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology of speech mechanisms, and medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams in clinical or educational environments
