Working under the direction of the Inspections Manager, to ensure that all aspects of the inspection coordination and extinguisher maintenance shop are efficiently and accurately performed while maintaining good relationships with customers and co-workers.
Job Duties/Responsibilities for Inspection and Fire Extinguisher Coordinator:
- Creating and assigning inspection agreements with our Customers for Fire Suppression and Fire Alarm Inspection Division
- Scheduling inspections with customers and subcontractors/ issuing subcontractor PO’s.
- Preparing and managing inspection schedule for inspection technicians
- Work Closely with inspectors to assure they have all the proper equipment and paperwork to perform inspections
- Set up and maintain customer files
- Handle walk in fire extinguisher sales and inspection customers.
- Conduct necessary maintenance on fire extinguishers including, but not limited to 6 year maintenance, 12 year maintenance, and recharges.
- Keep all fire extinguishers logged and organized upon arrival and prepare for return/pick up.
- Schedule with customers and inspectors for return/pick up.
- Keep track of loaner base and stock new fire extinguishers.
Requirements for Inspection and Fire Extinguisher Coordinator:
- Self-motivated with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with ability to communicate with owners, property managers, subcontractors and coworkers.
- Ability to be prompt and courteous when interacting with co-workers and customers
- Ability to work under pressure in a changing environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to learn enterprise software (Acumatica) quickly and thoroughly to become the most knowledgeable in the department.
Minimum Qualifications for Inspection and Fire Extinguisher Coordinator:
- Minimum 1 year of scheduling experience
- Minimum 2 years of office experience and understanding of general office etiquette
- Microsoft Office, Outlook Scheduling and PDF software proficiency
- Extinguisher experience is preferred but not required.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
Work Location for the Inspection and Fire Extinguisher Coordinator:
- 5 days a week at Headquarters - Mt Morris, MI
