Position Summary
WE Beaty is seeking an experienced Skid Steer Operator to join our residential site preparation team. This position is responsible for preparing residential driveways and for concrete pour by operating heavy equipment, hauling equipment and materials, and working independently to ensure each job is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
Responsibilities

Operate a skid steer to excavate and prepare residential driveways prior to concrete placement.

Remove existing soil and excavate driveways to the required depth and grade.

Read driveway layouts and follow job specifications to ensure proper excavation.

Verify excavation depth and slope meet company standards before the concrete crew arrives.

Load excavated spoil material into dump trucks for disposal.

Transport skid steer and equipment to and from job sites by pulling an equipment trailer.

Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance on the skid steer, truck, and trailer.

Keep equipment clean, fueled, and in good working condition.

Identify and communicate any site issues that could impact the concrete pour.

Work independently to complete daily assignments efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.

Follow all company safety policies and safe equipment operating procedures.

Assist with additional site preparation tasks as needed to support the concrete crews.

Qualifications

Valid driver's license required

For-Hire Endorsement required or willingness to obtain.

Current DOT Medical Card required or ability to obtain before starting.

Experience operating a skid steer is required.

Knowledge of residential driveway layouts and site preparation.

Experience excavating and loading spoil material into dump trucks.

Experience towing equipment trailers.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Dependable with excellent attendance and work ethic.

Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
