American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVOR Scrub and Circulate position requiring 3–5 years of complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular OR experience with the ability to both scrub and circulate.

Hospital-based cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) setting
-
Primary role is scrubbing, with circulating responsibilities also required

Complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases including coronary artery bypass (primary and redo), aortic aneurysms, AVR and MVR (primary and redo), TAVR, ECMO, VADs, and more

Adult patient population required; pediatric experience is a plus

13-hour day shifts, 6:00 AM – 7:30 PM

40 hours per week
-
On-call is required
-
Approximately 6–10 shifts per 6-week period, including approximately 1 weekend per month

Free on-site parking available

Active VA or Compact RN license required

BLS certification required (American Heart Association only)

CNOR certification preferred

3–5 years of recent scrub and circulating RN experience in complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases required

Strong multitasking and critical thinking skills required

Excellent communication skills and ability to work as a collaborative team member

Must be able to scrub and circulate; primary responsibility will be scrubbing

Involves participation in numerous ongoing research protocols

Overtime may be required based on departmental needs

Holiday coverage required: one summer holiday (Memorial Day, 4th of July, or Labor Day) and one winter holiday (Thanksgiving or Christmas) per department need

All requested time off must be added to the end of the contract to ensure a full 13 working weeks

Active participation in professional activities of the department is expected
