We are seeking a passionate and skilled Assistant Sourdough Baker to join us at Mercy Farm in Ponchatoula LA. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality baked goods, specializing in sourdough bread, while maintaining a lively and efficient kitchen environment. Your expertise will help us deliver exceptional products that delight our customers and uphold our commitment to culinary excellence.
DUTIES:
- Prepare and bake sourdough bread and other baked goods following established recipes and standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, ovens, proofers, and dough sheeters
- Decorate cakes and pastries with precision, ensuring visual appeal aligns with quality standards
- Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to food safety protocols and sanitation procedures
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as measuring ingredients, portioning dough, and assembling baked items
