Catholic Charities of the Archdoicese of St. Louis, service line Queen of Peace Center, is hiring an Early Childhood Educator. This position is responsible for creating and maintaining a nurturing, trauma-informed environment for children served through Queen of Peace Center’s CSTAR program. The role involves developing lesson plans tailored to each child’s needs while following approved curriculum and state licensure standards. Daily responsibilities include documenting activities, outcomes, and observations, as well as communicating with mothers about their child’s progress. The educator will collaborate closely with treatment teams to address behavioral concerns, recommend interventions, and participate in client staffing meetings. Additional duties include assisting with meals, potty training, and ensuring all toys and equipment are sanitized according to regulations. Candidates must hold an associate’s degree in Early Childhood, Special Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field and have at least one year of child development professional experience. Knowledge of trauma and substance use impacts on families is highly valued. Flexibility in scheduling and adherence to safety and quality standards are essential for success in this role.
