American Traveler is hiring an EEG Technologist for an inpatient neurodiagnostics role requiring BLS certification and either graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited EEG program or 2 years of hands-on EEG/EMU experience.

Inpatient EEG unit within an acute care hospital setting
-
Multiple shift options available: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, 12:30 PM–8:00 PM, or 7:00 AM–7:30 PM

Full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day

Weekend shifts are required

No floating requirements

No holiday shifts required

Epic EMR experience required

High School Diploma or GED required

Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited EEG program (new graduates welcome) OR 2 years of hands-on EEG/EMU experience

Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)

ABRET certification preferred

Epic EMR experience required

Level 1 Trauma experience required

Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills

Demonstrated technical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot equipment

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

License required if applicable

Performs all types of EEGs including ambulatory, bedside, electrical cerebral silence, and standard lab EEGs
-
Notifies Neuroscience physicians as needed for grossly abnormal EEG tracings
-
Documents findings, results, and descriptive analysis in patient charts and lab files in accordance with facility policy
-
Cleans, disinfects, and troubleshoots equipment; coordinates repair service per division policy

Prepares patients for examinations and provides age-appropriate instructions and explanations throughout procedures

Follows established infection control policies

RTO is not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract

Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment for more than 1 year at this health system; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any system location
