Licensed Clinical Assessment Reviewer

Summary:
The Licensed Clinical Assessment Reviewer is responsible for reviewing IM+CANS for the Pathways to Success program. Through reviewing the IM+CANS, the Licensed Clinical Assessment Reviewer will determine and document medical necessity for treatment. Reviews will be completed in a timely matter and adhere to Rule 140 and FSA standards for documentation. This individual must have a clinical license in the State of Illinois.

The essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Clinical
- Review initial and updated IM+CANS from the Pathways to Success program to determine medical necessity
- Provide feedback to the MHP and/or QMHP on submitted IM+CANS, when appropriate
- Participate in cross-training and gain knowledge of all programs in order to review IM+CANS from other programs on a case-by-case basis.
- Be knowledgeable on Rule 140 and Rule 132
- Provide support to New Hire Trainings with regards to Rule 140
Supervision
- Responsible for supervision on a monthly basis
- Responsible for reporting to supervisor regularly about problem cases, need for special services, and resource information.
Administrative
- Responsible for completion of and meeting deadlines for all clinical paperwork for cases, including, but not limited to: IATPs and case notes.
- Responsible for completion of and meeting deadlines for all agency administrative paperwork, including, but not limited to, timesheets, expense reports, and car insurance verification.
- Responsible for attending Quarterly All Staff Clinical Meetings and other meetings as assigned by supervisor.
- Responsible for participating in Utilization Review on a quarterly basis.
Training
- Responsible for learning basics of Pathways to Success Program & CCSO operations
- Responsible for completion of annual training requirements.
- Maintain IM+CANS Certification and attend required HFS trainings
- Documentation/Billing Notes should be completed with 7 days of service.
- Documentation should follow Rule 140
- Responsible for ongoing training assigned by supervisor.
Other Duties/Special Assignments/Projects
- Maintain licensure and/or certification that are available and appropriate to educational/professional background.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Perform incidental business-related travel as needed.
- Participate in agency Risk Management and Continuous Quality Improvement activities.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATIONS
The work environment is mostly office based and requires working on a computer. However, the incumbent can expect to work in client’s homes, schools, public libraries, and community agencies. The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that should be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
TRAVEL
This position requires light travel on occasion. Must hold a valid, unexpired Illinois driver's license.
Postion type/Expected Hours of Work
This position is part-time, 15-20 hours per week
Hourly Pay Rates
- In accordance with Illinois state law, we are committed to transparency in compensation. The hourly pay range for this position is $26.65 to $32.49, depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications:
- Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA) credential (LCPC, LCSW, LMFT) in Illinois
- Previous experience in community mental health
- Previous experience with utilizing the Illinois Medicaid Comprehensive Assessment of Strengths and Needs (IM+CANS)
- Strong knowledge of Medicaid Rule 140
