Step into a vital role supporting students’ communication skills for the upcoming academic year in the New Orleans area. This full-time, contract position is tailored for dedicated school-based Speech-Language Pathologists seeking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children from August 7, 2026, through May 27, 2027. Serve Monday through Friday, 7-hour days (plus a 30-minute lunch), working in one or more schools—specific assignments and caseload details to be determined.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure
- ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
- Must successfully complete required district credentialing, including drug screening and fingerprinting
- School-based experience is a plus, but not required
- Passion for working with diverse student populations and collaborating with educational teams
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat students with a range of speech, language, and communication challenges
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary staff to maximize student success
- Document services and student progress in accordance with district standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations
