Smith Jadin Johnson, PLLC (“SJJ Law”) is a nationally recognized law firm with offices in multiple states. We focus on Business Law, Real Estate, and Civil Litigation. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team in our Bloomington, Minnesota office.
This role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the firm, including invoicing, accounts receivable and payable processing, payroll support, expense reconciliation, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, and values precision and confidentiality in all financial matters.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time
- Enter daily bank transactions and prepare, post, and record customer invoices and payments
- Facilitate vendor payments and assist with payroll preparation and processing
- Reconcile monthly financial statements, credit card reports, and employee expenses (including Concur)
- Follow up on delinquent accounts and perform monthly AR reviews
- Maintain financial records and prepare standard internal reports
- Support the finance team with special projects and administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with ADP and Concur preferred
- Law firm or professional services experience is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred
