JOB SUMMARY
Assists the Controller with the day to day operations of the Human Resource office, as well as administration of policies, procedures and programs. Carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: departmental development, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, organizational development, and employment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manages the recruitment process for exempt and nonexempt employees and interns using the standard recruiting and hiring practices and procedures necessary to recruit and hire a superior workforce.
· Assists with the establishment of an in-house employee training system that addresses company training needs including new employee orientation or onboarding, management development, production cross-training, and others as needed.
· Assists with the development of Human Resources policies for the company with regard to employee relations.
· Provides day to day benefit administration services. Assists employees with any claim issues including providing Spanish translation when necessary.
· Helps develop and schedule benefits orientations and other benefits training.
· Assists Controller with the administration of disability and worker’s compensation claims.
· Complies with all existing governmental and labor legal and government reporting requirements. Maintains minimal company exposure to lawsuits.
· Protects the interests of employees and the company in accordance with company Human Resources policies and governmental laws and regulations.
· Assists with employee communication and feedback.
· Implements human resources programs by providing human resources services, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations; completing personnel transactions.
· Helps develop human resource solutions by collecting and analyzing information, recommending courses of action.
·· Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
· Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
· Work with management and supervisors to ensure all aspects of manufacturing safety are being met.
· Assists with payroll duties when needed.
· Other duties as deemed appropriate by supervisor and management.
QUALIFICATIONS
· High school graduate degree required. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business preferred.
· Minimum of two years of experience working in an office environment. Minimum of 1 year of experience working in an HR department preferred.
· General knowledge of employment laws and practices preferred.
· Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resource programs a plus.
· Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
· Effective oral and written communication, as well as interpersonal and coaching skills.
· Able to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish, REQUIRED.
· Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
· Excellent Organizational skills.

WAGE
$20 to $25 per hour
