Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces, ensuring high-quality results that meet project specifications. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance aesthetics, and protect surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, plastering, and applying primer as needed to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and spray equipment such as airless paint sprayers and conventional spray systems to apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes accurately and efficiently.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and schematics to determine project scope and specific requirements.
- Conduct surface preparation on construction sites including masonry, stucco, drywall installation, and renovation projects to ensure surfaces are ready for finishing.
- Follow safety regulations rigorously by using appropriate respiratory protection and adhering to all workplace safety standards during surface preparation and application processes.
- Perform touch-ups and restoration work to maintain the integrity of finished surfaces over time.
- Collaborate with carpenters, masons, drywall installers, and other tradespeople to coordinate project timelines and ensure seamless workflow on construction sites.
Skills
- Extensive experience in residential painting with knowledge of color theory for achieving desired aesthetic effects.
- Proficiency in construction estimating related to paint quantities and surface preparation costs.
- Strong understanding of construction painting surface preparation techniques including sanding, scraping, sealing, and priming.
- Skilled in various application methods such as hand brushing, rolling, conventional spraying, airless spray painting, and industrial coating techniques.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and schematics accurately for precise application.
- Knowledge of safety regulations including proper use of respiratory protection and handling hazardous materials safely.
- Familiarity with basic math skills for measuring areas and calculating material needs; experience with blueprint reading is a plus.
- Competence in carpentry tasks such as trim carpentry or fixture installation when needed for renovation projects.
- Experience with restoration work involving plastering, stucco application, masonry repairs or concrete finishing.
- Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards on every project.
