Responsibilities
Transcribe physician-patient interactions during exams, procedures, and consultations using EMR/EHR systems. Record detailed medical histories, exam findings, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions accurately. Help providers prepare and organize documentation quickly. Keep patient records complete, accurate, and compliant with privacy rules. Assist the clinical team with records requests, lab results, imaging reports, and related documents. Apply your knowledge of anatomy and physiology to interpret clinical notes and handle complex documentation. Type and transcribe quickly enough to keep pace with a busy clinic, including ER settings when needed.
Qualifications
Experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is a strong plus. Solid understanding of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy for accurate documentation. Comfortable working with EMR/EHR systems. Fast, accurate transcription skills. Familiar with medical records management and privacy standards like HIPAA. Able to stay calm and effective under pressure in busy settings such as ERs or urgent care. Quick, accurate typing skills; ER experience is a plus.
