Position: Driver Level: Driver
Summary: The Driver is responsible for transporting materials and products on behalf of Woven Metal Products/Indchem Constructors. This entails collecting any supplies needed for production, such as materials from vendors, and delivering finished products to the appropriate clients. In this role, the Driver is responsible for taking appropriate measures to ensure the safety of all goods in his/her vehicle. The Driver must abide by all driving rules and demonstrate an overall commitment toward safety at all times.
Primary Roles: Transportation of Products and Supplies
Reports To: Senior Shipping & Warehouseman
Supervises: None
Travel: 75-100%
Typical Week: 45-50 hours
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Drive all types of trucks with and without trailer
· Assist with loading and unloading of trucks and trailers
· Operate forklift
· Maintain and ensure safety of load
· Secure load when necessary, including securing with tarps
· Assist with keeping the entire facility neat and organized
· Assist warehouse and shipping/receiving as needed
· Abide by all driving rules and regulations
· Keep commercial driver’s license up to date
· Track and log driving hours per DOT regulations
· Observe safety procedures at all times
· Keep inside and outside of the truck clean
· Report any issues to maintenance and ensure truck is properly maintained
· Execute any and all tasks assigned by supervisor
· Uphold leadership values of integrity and excellence; displaying respect and a positive attitude in all interactions with the team and customers
Qualifications:
· 3-5 Years of Experience
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Valid driver’s license
· Ability to lift 50 lbs.
· Class A CDL
· Clean driving record
· Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws
· Ability to model, teach, and promote Woven Metal Product’s core values of reliable quality, a partnership attitude, and attention to detail
