Overview
Harwin is a global manufacturer of high-reliability interconnect devices. Our facility in Salem, NH, is seeking a Cable Assembler to join our expanding team. This role requires high attention to detail and a commitment to quality. This is a hands-on role with repetitive work assembling and inspecting identical parts ensuring all meet the required specifications.
Direct experience is not a requirement for this position . The ideal candidate would be high energy, have a positive attitude, strong willingness to learn and thrive in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Processing of wire on automated cut and strip machines
- Hand crimping per tooling instructions
- Assembly of crimped wires into housings as per technical drawing
- Back potting cable assemblies with 2-part epoxy compound
- Using basic measurement tools e.g. calipers and pull-force tester
- Complete in-process inspection checklists, ensuring work meets all required specifications.
- Solder Termination of wire to contacts
- Assembly of braid and back-shells
- Applying sleeving and labels
- Any other duties as and when required
Preferred Skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Familiarity with IPC-WHMA-A-620 standards
- Prior experience working in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment
- Ability to work as part of a team and under own initiative
