About Elhaam Academy
Elhaam Academy is a growing K–8 private Islamic school in Queens, NY, dedicated to nurturing confident, knowledgeable, and faith-centered students. We integrate strong academics with Islamic character development, STEAM learning, and a warm, family-oriented school culture.
As we prepare for the 2026–2027 school year, we are expanding our team and seeking passionate educators who believe in holistic education and student-centered learning.
Full-time and part-time positions available.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons
- Foster a positive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
- Collaborate with colleagues and administration
- Communicate effectively with parents
- Integrate Islamic values and character development into instruction
- Participate in school events, professional development, and community initiatives
✅ Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (required)
- Teaching certification (preferred; required for certain positions)
- Prior classroom experience (preferred)
- Strong classroom management skills
- Commitment to faith-based education
- Passion for working with children
- Team-oriented mindset
Compensation
Salary is competitive and commensurate with certification, qualifications, and years of experience.
Compensation will vary based on:
- NYS certification status
- Advanced degrees (Master’s, etc.)
- Teaching experience
- Subject area expertise

Pay: $35,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
