JOB SUMMARY
Villa Marin is currently seeking a Part-Time Server to join our Culinary Services team. The Server is responsible for providing friendly, professional, and efficient dining service to residents and guests.
This position performs a variety of dining room duties, including greeting and seating residents and guests, serving meals and beverages, clearing and resetting tables, and assisting with dining room opening and closing tasks. The ideal candidate is dependable, courteous, patient, and committed to providing exceptional service to older adults.
This position is being advertised as part-time. A full-time opportunity may be available for the right candidate.
SCHEDULE & PAY
- Job Type: Part-time
- Pay: $21.00–$22.00 per hour
- Non-tipped environment
- Shift differentials may apply
- Shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Meals are provided during scheduled shifts
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Greet residents and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Check reservations and assist with assigning seating.
- Present menus and answer questions about meal selections as needed.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately.
- Serve meals and beverages promptly and efficiently.
- Respond courteously to resident and guest requests.
- Clear dishes, utensils, and glassware from tables.
- Clean and reset tables for the next service.
- Maintain clean and organized dining areas and service stations.
- Complete assigned side work and dining room opening and closing duties.
- Assist with special events and community functions as assigned.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures.
- Perform other related duties as needed.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Patience and understanding when working with older adults.
- Tact and courtesy when interacting with residents, guests, and coworkers.
- Ability to read menus and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hospitality, or resident dining setting is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Ability to provide friendly and professional customer service in a resident dining environment.
REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
