We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee our daily and strategic HR operations, champion a supportive workplace culture, and guide our recruitment initiatives. In this role, you will manage everything from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations, payroll systems, health and welfare benefits, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence people at all levels of the organization. You will lead the development and implementation of HR strategies and ensure our workforce operations align directly with the organization’s overarching goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Talent Acquisition: Manage the full lifecycle recruitment process, optimize hiring strategies, and facilitate comprehensive new-hire onboarding.
- Employee Relations & Culture: Serve as the bridge between management and employees by addressing demands, grievances, and other issues. Mediate workplace conflicts and promote a positive, inclusive, and highly engaged work environment. Communicates to the workforce to promote company goals and principles. Creates and implements employee activities to build team and culture.
- Compliance Management: Maintain comprehensive compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws, including FMLA, OSHA, FLSA, and EEO regulations. Plan, develop, and update HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook. Ensures fairness and consistency throughout the organization.
- Compensation & Benefits: Oversee health insurance plans, 401k plan, compensation plans, and payroll administration systems. Work with benefit brokers, consultants, and leadership to maintain competitive offerings. Work with payroll service provider to oversee, audit, and administer payroll and HRIS information and related employee records, changes, inquires, and issues.
- Performance Management: Partner with department heads to execute the performance management system, including performance evaluations, employee and company goal setting, salary and bonus programs.
- Data & Administration: Maintain accuracy and confidentiality in digital personnel files, manage Human Resource Information System (HRIS) data metrics, and compile various labor and compliance reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Progressive and proven Human Resources experience at a management level. Experience in the oil and gas industry, services, manufacturing or related industry with a high population of field hourly employees in a medium-sized company or division (200+ employees) is essential.
- Certifications: Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credentials highly valued.
- Skills:
- Proficient with mainstream HRIS databases (ADP a plus).
- Strong, demonstrable knowledge of employment/labor laws and HR best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Human Resources Management Systems (HRMS) and Payroll administration.
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and team building abilities.
