Position Overview: 5-Axis CNC Horizontal Set-Up Machinist
We are seeking an experienced CNC Vertical Set-Up Machinist with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will be capable of performing complete machine setups, operating CNC equipment, and troubleshooting jobs independently. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform full machine setups on CNC Vertical equipment
- Operate and monitor machines to ensure quality and efficiency
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues
- Use hand inspection tools to verify part quality
- Read and interpret blueprints and CNC programs
- Follow process documentation and work instructions
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining experience (vertical machining preferred)
- Experience setting up and operating Vertical Machines
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and GD&T
- Experience using inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.)
- Ability to edit and understand CNC programs
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

- CNC Horizontal Mill Operator: 8 years (Preferred)
- Working in a Machine Shop: 8 years (Preferred)

- Reading Blueprints: 5 years (Preferred)
