Dig Right In Landscaping is seeking a motivated Horticultural Assistant to join our team in creating beautiful, sustainable landscapes. This role is ideal for horticultural students and second-career individuals.
Primary Duties:
- Assist landscape designers with design/install projects, including but not limited to: project management, permit preparation, ordering plants and other materials at the direction of the designers, marketing photos, site measurements, research, and other ad hoc assignments.
- Represent the company at the La Grange Farmer’s Market and other public events.
- Conduct post-construction site inspections to ensure plant establishment.
- Install plants and assist with property management (pruning, weeding, watering).
- Deliver materials using personal or company vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided).
- Responsible for organizing and watering nursery stock.
- Educate customers on sustainable landscaping practices and plant/sod care.
Ideal Candidate:
- Horticultural student or individual pursuing a career change in landscaping.
- Passion for sustainable landscaping and environmental stewardship.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft office.
- Reliable and detail-oriented.
