Your Role
As a Bartender at Culpepper, you mix with precision, serve with personality, and bring the kind of energy that makes the bar the best seat in the house. Guests choose the bar for the chance to be part of the action, and you bring them in by keeping the experience personal, comfortable, and effortless. Your job is to make folks feel welcome, appreciated, and eager to come back.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome every guest with warmth and confidence, creating an atmosphere that feels like visiting a friend's home.
- Engage each guest in genuine conversation to understand their reason for visiting and identify any preferences, dietary restrictions, or allergens.
- Observe body language and nonverbal cues to anticipate guest needs before they ask.
- Use information learned through conversation to personalize and elevate each guest's experience.
- Confidently guide guests through the food and beverage menus, providing knowledgeable recommendations and thoughtful options for dietary needs.
- Accurately and efficiently take and place food and beverage orders for bar guests.
- Prepare beverages for both bar guests and service well with consistency, care, and attention to presentation.
- Check in with guests throughout their visit to ensure satisfaction and address any needs promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and an elevated presentation of the bar area at all times.
- Stay up to date on all menu items, ingredients, and seasonal changes to ensure accurate and engaging recommendations.
- Complete all assigned side duties, restocking, and closing tasks to prepare the bar for the next shift.

Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must have at least 2 years of bartending experience
- Food Handler's license and TABC Certification required
Job Requirements:
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, often the majority of a shift.
- Frequently required to lift and carry up to 25–30 lbs (e.g., cases of product, small equipment).
- Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 50 lbs with assistance.
- Comfortable bending, reaching, and working in fast-paced, high-energy environments.
- Ability to move quickly and safely through crowded spaces and in close proximity to hot surfaces, sharp objects, and cleaning chemicals.
- Must be able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, sometimes in varying temperatures.
- Maintain visual and auditory awareness to ensure safety, quality, and service standards are met at all times.
- Occasionally required to lift up to 150 lbs with the help of equipment like a dolly.
- Occasionally required to speak in front of large groups, including team members and guests.
- May be required to workdays, nights, weekends, and holidays, and adjust to occasional schedule changes based on business needs.
Hourly + Tips: $15.00 - $40.00 per hour
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
