General Overview
The Director of Member Services provides operational support and execution for fraternity housing and risk management initiatives. Working closely with the Senior Director of Member Services, this role serves as both the operational back-office and front-line partner for corporate-owned properties, chapter risk initiatives, and related volunteer teams. The Director manages facility oversight and unifies RMF and CHI operational practices, handling property and insurance workflows with precision while building the relationships and expertise needed to grow into independent management of these functions over time.
Responsibilities
Asset Management (~40%)
● Serve as day-to-day administrative lead for assigned CHI-owned properties, overseeing lease administration, tenant relations, and property care and maintenance within budget.
● Develop, document, and plan for long-term capital improvement needs.
● Conduct scheduled and unscheduled site visits to audit property conditions, evaluate vendor performance, and assess tenant and chapter care of the property.
● Use property data to support the Senior Director in improving oversight across owned entities and developing revenue-generating services for House Corporations.
Risk Operations & Chapter Services (~35%)
● Manage the RMF Chapter Program: process Certificates of Insurance (COI), handle risk management inquiries, and track billing and payments for assigned accounts.
● Manage the RMF Property Program: process Evidence of Insurance (EOI), handle risk management inquiries, and track billing and payments for assigned accounts.
● Facilitate training sessions for RMF member groups on risk management, risk reduction, event planning, and policy compliance.
● Support operational logistics for CHI-sponsored educational programs and regional gatherings.
Administrative Infrastructure and Support (~25%)
● Shadow and support the Senior Director on strategic initiatives, building knowledge of fraternal insurance, house corporation governance, and organizational leadership.
● Maintain property histories, contracts, and maintenance records as part of a centralized record platform for CHI and RMF.
● Serve as the primary internal resource helping RMF and CHI teams access and use information in Salesforce.
Education and Experiential Requirements
● Bachelor's degree
● Preferred experience in Greek-life operations, higher-education administration, property management, or risk management
● Sigma Chi membership or direct work experience with the Fraternity preferred
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
● Strong interest in mastering the operational foundations of fraternal housing, risk management, and nonprofit administration
● Excellent verbal communication and confident facilitation with undergraduates, house corporation boards, and key stakeholders
● Strong attention to detail with a natural instinct to follow through and keep property-related projects moving
● Comfortable with CRM databases, property management platforms, and basic financial systems, with willingness to learn new tools
Working Hours and Conditions
● Willingness to travel as needed, including weekends, for site visits, vendor meetings, conferences, and chapter or provincial training events — up to 30% of the time
● Standard Microsoft Office environment and current or future software required for property oversight, risk management, and Salesforce/Fonteva/HubSpot platforms

Pay: $59,000.00 - $69,000.00 per year
