Position Summary:
The Shipping & Receiving lead is responsible for all inventory in storage as well as in and out of the production areas, and is also responsible for all inbound & outbound shipments from the facility. The focus of this position is ensuring production has all needed materials without delay and that every material coming into the warehouse & leaving the warehouse is inspected and quality is assured.
Shipping & Receiving:
- Inspect all inbound deliveries and ensure quality and quantity before signing BOL
- Receieve inventory into ERP system, include lot numbers as required
- Store received goods into proper location
- Arrange all inbound & outbound shipments
- Have a pulse on when goods are coming in or needing to go out
- Get multiple quotes on shipments to ensure best price is used.
- Communicate with vendors & customers about inbound & outbound shipments
- Check all outbound shipments for quality & quantity before arranging shipment
- Wrap & strap pallets as needed for outbound delivery
- Work with production & QC team if any issues found on outbound shipments
Warehousing/Material Handling/Produciton:
- Organzing & Arranging all inventory and bin locations
- Ensure inventory is stored in its proper areas & is covered and clean
- Have a full understanding and knowledge of the produiton schedule
- Staying ahead of the produiton team with material handling
- Work with Produciton leads constantly to ensure they have all needed materials, and are ready for their next work order and reduce down time as much as possible
- Supervise & direct material handling team
- Maintain dock and storage facilities in an organized & clean manner
- Generating inventory cycle counts & checking count against ERP system
- Alert management to any discrepancies
- Following & updating production schedule as needed
Other Duties:
- Assist with production & batching as requested by supervisor or management
- Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures, good manufacturing practices, and safety standards
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor or management
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
