What You'll Do
As a Furniture Mover/Driver, you'll play an essential role in our mission by safely delivering furniture and household items to clients throughout Central Ohio. Every day brings new people, new challenges, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Safely operate 16-foot and 26-foot box trucks throughout Central Ohio.
- Load, unload, and deliver furniture into client homes or to curbside delivery locations.
- Lift, move, and carry furniture, including navigating stairs and tight spaces.
- Provide friendly, respectful, and professional customer service to clients, partner agencies, and case managers.
- Complete delivery paperwork and maintain accurate inventory documentation.
- Transfer furniture and household items between Furniture Bank locations.
- Help keep our warehouse and showroom organized, stocked, and running efficiently.
- Work closely with teammates to ensure every delivery is completed safely and on time.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who enjoys helping others, takes pride in their work, and values being part of a team!
Your qualifications will include:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience driving a 16-foot box truck (ability to safely operate a 26-foot truck is a plus).
- Ability to safely lift and move furniture weighing up to 100 pounds with assistance when needed.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Dependable, safety-minded, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed.
